Delete your data
Remove recipes, journal entries, photos, your bar and your search history, or everything Sakaba keeps in iCloud.
Everything you create in Sakaba is yours to delete, and there’s no account to close. Deletions sync, so something you delete on one device disappears from your other devices too. Most deletions can’t be undone; with Sakaba Plus, you can make a backup first.
Delete a recipe of your own
Open the recipe, tap ⋯ at the top right, and choose Delete cocktail. You can also long-press the recipe in a list and choose Delete cocktail. Confirm with Delete.
This removes the recipe and every journal entry written for it. Recipes from the library can’t be deleted, because they come with the app. If you saved one as a favorite, you can remove it from your favorites.
Delete a journal entry
Long-press the entry in your journal and choose Delete. Or open the entry, tap ⋯ at the top right and choose Delete. Confirm with Delete.
Remove a photo
To remove a photo but keep the entry or recipe, open it in its editor: for a journal entry, open it and choose ⋯ → Edit; for your own recipe, choose ⋯ → Edit recipe. Tap the ✕ on the photo, then save.
Clear your bar and shopping list
- My Bar. In the My Bar tab, tap
In your barat the top left, then the trash button, and confirm withClear bar. - Shopping list. In the My Bar tab, tap the bag at the top right, then the trash button, and confirm with
Clear list.
Clear recent searches
Open the Search tab, tap the trash button at the top right, and confirm with Clear. The button only shows when you have recent searches.
Remove favorites
Tap the heart on a recipe page, or long-press a recipe in a list and choose Remove from favorites.
Delete everything
Sakaba has no single “delete all” button. To remove all your data:
- From each device. Delete the Sakaba app. This removes everything it stored on that device, including your settings.
- From iCloud. Deleting the app doesn’t touch the copy in your iCloud. To remove it, open the Settings app, tap your name, then
iCloud, go to your iCloud storage, choose Sakaba and delete its data. The exact wording depends on your iOS version.
My Bar and the shopping list are kept in a separate part of iCloud from your recipes and journal. The surest way to remove them is to clear them in Sakaba, as described above, before you delete the app.
Good to know
- Free limits. Deleting one of your recipes or journal entries frees up a spot under the free limits. See Free vs Sakaba Plus.
- Data outside your devices. If you bought Sakaba Plus, a record of the purchase is kept by RevenueCat, and if you wrote to us, we have your email. To have those deleted, write to us. See Your privacy.
- Your subscription. Deleting the app or your data doesn’t cancel Sakaba Plus. See Manage or cancel your subscription.
