Help Center Data, privacy & support

Your privacy

No account, no ads, no tracking. What stays on your device, what goes to iCloud, and the one outside service Sakaba uses.

Sakaba is built to need as little of your data as possible. There’s no account, no ads and no tracking, and what you create stays on your devices and in your own iCloud. This page is the short version; the Privacy Policy has the details.

No account

You never sign up, log in or make a password. Sakaba doesn’t know your name or email address. Your Apple Account handles purchases and iCloud, and Sakaba never sees its details.

Your recipes and journal stay with you

Your own recipes, journal entries, photos, favorites, bar and shopping list are stored on your device. If iCloud is on for Sakaba, they sync between your devices through your own private iCloud. There’s no Sakaba server holding them, and we can’t see them. See iCloud sync.

Backup and journal exports are files Sakaba hands to you. Where you save or send them is your choice; we never receive a copy.

No ads, no tracking

The app shows no ads and contains no advertising or tracking code. It never uses your advertising identifier and doesn’t follow you across other apps or websites.

Purchases

Apple processes every Sakaba Plus purchase. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details.

Sakaba uses one outside service, RevenueCat, to see how subscriptions are doing. It only reports purchases; it doesn’t handle them. When you buy, renew or cancel, RevenueCat receives the transaction details, a random identifier for your copy of the app, and basic device and app information. None of it is linked to your name or Apple Account, and none of it is used for advertising.

Photos and the camera

Photos are optional. Taking a photo for a journal entry asks for camera access at that moment. Choosing one from your library uses Apple’s photo picker, which gives Sakaba only the photo you pick, not your whole library. You can change camera access at any time in the iOS Settings app. See Photos.

Reminders, Siri and the widget

  • Weekend reminders are scheduled by iOS on your device. No server of ours sends them. See Weekend reminders.
  • Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight run through iOS on your device.
  • The widget reads a small snapshot of the cocktail of the day, shared only between the app and the widget.

This website

The Sakaba website, including this Help Center, sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Like any website, its host receives the technical details of each request in order to deliver the page.
